The course places great emphasis on the fine-tuning and training of dancers. The main subjects are Ballet training, including pointe work, repertoire, boys work, pas de deux, virtuosity, Jazz dance including Commercial dance and Contemporary dance. In all of these subjects, we work towards the enhancement of excellent technique, strength, purity of line, co-ordination, quality of movement and artistry. By the end of the second year, we aim for our dancers to have reached a professional company standard, so students can be prepared and able to audition or attend company classes in their main genre wherever possible, during the third year.
Our dance training not only concentrates on strength of technique in the dance modules but works on performance skills, Pas De Deux, Audition Technique and International competitions.
Dancers also have access to our on-site Strength and Conditioning Services to aid Dancers with Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation. Our Strength Coaches are also on hand every day to help the Dancers develop Flexibility, Strength, Power and Stability.
KS Dance offers training to a standard as one of the best ballet schools in the UK.

Competition Training – The duration of the module is one year and involves specialist training in classical solos from mainstream repertoire with a view to entering the larger international competitions i.e. Varna, Prix de Lausanne etc. This involves a great deal of study of many different styles and roles from the classics which have to be presented with style and flair at professional level. A further contemporary solo is often also required. KS Dance competes amongst students from the best ballet schools in the UK.
