Audition participants are auditioning for our:

Performers Course – Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance (Our Pass Rate is 100%). Students specialise in Ballet, Contemporary and/or Jazz and as a result gain employment across the whole Performing Arts Industry.
There is the option to include, Teaching Modules in Ballet, Tap and Modern (DDE) Level 4 Qualification which can be used to further extend a Dancers career in the Arts. This can be selected on Our Audition Application Form

What is the DaDa Scheme?

The Dance and Drama Awards (DaDAs) offer means-tested scholarships to talented performing arts students studying at some of the country’s leading providers of professional vocational training in dance, drama and musical theatre. Funded by the government through the Education Funding Agency (EFA), DaDas. This means that students can gain access to world class training at KS with more ease than ever before.

KS Dance is proud to be part of the DaDa Scheme and validated by Council for Dance, Drama and Musical (CDMT) Trinity College London and the ISTD. Subsequently, thanks to this funding, we are able to supply our students with both highly experienced Teachers but also the highest quality Health and Wellbeing system.

Dancers Graduate with:

A Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance, validated by Trinity College London. Those students that opted to study towards a Teaching Qualification in Ballet, Tap or Modern also achieve their Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) Level 4 in Teaching awarded by the ISTD.

KS Dance accepts entry from prospective students of any age over 16 year’s old onto our course.

Our Audition:

The audition at KS Dance is a fantastic unique experience whereby Dancers are assessed in Ballet and Jazz and or Contemporary. This variety allows every Dancer auditioning the opportunity to demonstrate their strengths.

This is followed by a discussion with our Principal and Director Kate Simmons, the Parents and prospective students. There is also the opportunity for Dancers to speak with our external Sports Science Professional team to discuss Health and Wellbeing at the college.

Dancers will be able to spend the part of the day amongst the current KS Dance students and catch glimpses of current rehearsals and classes that are taking place as per the timetable.

KS Dance is dedicated to making the audition process as transparent as possible. This will give a real life insight into the daily on goings of the school.
