KS Dance: A Year of Achievement, Artistry, and New Beginnings
As the academic year draws to a close, KS Dance celebrates a vibrant season of growth, excellence, and community — on and off the stage. From award-winning performances to new additions to our faculty, 2024–2025 has been a year that reflects the dedication, creativity, and passion that defines our college.
National dance college success at the Barbara Geoghegan Awards
A standout moment this year was KS Dance students’ outstanding success at the prestigious Barbara Geoghegan Awards— an annual national competition hosted by the Cecchetti Society and the Cecchetti Trust that recognises technical excellence, performance quality, and artistic expression in young dancers. Our students not only made a strong impression but proudly brought home multiple accolades, including the highly respected Fewster Scholarship and Cyril Beaumont Award. These honours further affirm KS Dance’s place as a leader in professional dance training across the UK.
AllegroDance Touring Company and Annual Performance Triumph
Our annual show once again proved a powerful testament to the exceptional talent and hard work of our students and staff. With original choreography, professional production values, and sold-out audiences, the production showcased the versatility and skill of our dancers across genres.
The AllegroDance Touring Company, an integral part of our third-year vocational programme, also enjoyed an incredibly successful season. Touring schools, theatres, and community venues across the North West, Allegro provided dancers with real-world performance experience while inspiring young audiences with the joy of live dance.
Student Destinations: From College to Career
This year, our graduates have made us proud by taking the next step into the professional world. Students have secured work with hotel entertainment teams, junior ballet companies, and contemporary dance companies both in the UK and internationally. Their success is a tribute to the rigour of our training and the unwavering support of our faculty.
Whether on cruise ships, touring theatres, or contemporary platforms, KS Dance alumni are making their mark with the technical strength and expressive artistry fostered here in our studios.
Alumni Making Their Mark Around the World
KS Dance is proud to celebrate not only the achievements of our recent graduates but also the continued success of our alumni community. Many former students are now appearing in major musical theatre productions across the UK and internationally, while others have secured contracts with leading ballet companies such as Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB). Additionally, several alumni have transitioned from the stage to the studio, using their professional experience to inspire the next generation of dancers as educators and mentors in schools, colleges, and conservatoires worldwide.
Welcoming New Faculty to the KS Dance Family
We are delighted to welcome a group of exceptional professionals to our teaching team this year:

Each brings a unique wealth of experience and fresh energy to the college, further enriching our already diverse and expert faculty. We look forward to the exciting contributions they will make to the training and mentorship of our students.
Looking Ahead
As we prepare for the next academic year, our mission remains unchanged: to nurture, challenge, and inspire the next generation of professional dancers. With new talent joining our team and alumni reaching new heights, KS Dance continues to set the standard for vocational dance training in the North West and beyond.
Thank you to our students, staff, alumni, and families for being part of another extraordinary year.
