A warm welcome back to our students!
Whether you’re returning to continue your journey, or joining us for the first time, it’s with immense excitement and anticipation that we welcome each and every one of you into the first 2024-25 term. We hope that your summer was filled with sun, relaxation, and perhaps a few dance-related moments that kept your passion alive!
As we kick off this term, we’d like to inform you about the three performances at the CYD super convention in Liverpool this October. KS Dance will be part of opening the exhibition. These events will be a fantastic opportunity for the students to demonstrate their skills, connect with the dance community, gain new perspective, and find inspiration.

Success!
Our students Ollie, Melissa, Mei, Aida, and Millie, alongside their Coach, Kate Simmons, travelled to Michigan, USA, for the CICB Competition. We are proud to share that Melissa Hughes advanced to the finals. We extend our thanks to Amanda Gilliland, Matt Topliss, and Emma Briggs for their exceptional coaching and support in preparing students for this fantastic event.
We are delighted to see that two of our graduates – Oisín Middleton and Harry Hughes – have joined Birmingham Royal Ballet, having graduated in 2023 and 2024 respectfully. A very big well done!
New staff!
We’re also thrilled to welcome our new members of staff: Simon Kidd and Stephen Morgan. Simon is an experienced Coach, who’s Professional Career saw him at Northern Ballet and has a wealth of experience teaching at vocational level internationally.
Stephen hails from Liverpool and began dancing at a young age. As a child and aspiring professional, he performed with the English National Ballet in COPPELIA, starred in a short film ’VILYA’ for Yorkshire film and television, toured the UK with the KEN DODD HAPPINESS TOUR and performed with featured act ‘Siege’ regularly on THE VARIETY CLUB OF GREAT BRITAIN.
