Dancers at KS Dance and Student Destinations – Elliot Adams

It’s been an exciting couple of weeks pass for one of our current 3rd year male dancers; Elliot Adams. Elliott has secured and started a contract following a successful audition with ‘Varna State Opera Ballet Company’ Bulgaria and began learning the repertoire of Don Quixote with the company and new contemporary works already. All before the end of his final year. Congratulations Elliot!!

The KS Dance Community are all absolutely thrilled for him and wish him the very best of luck in his career as a Professional Male Ballet Dancer.

In Elliots time with us at, Elliot had gone on to achieve reaching the Semi Finals of BBC Young Dancer 2018, Barbara Geoghegan Award 2019 Commendation and Cyril Beaumont Scholarship 2019 Commendation.

The Varna Ballet was established simultaneously with the creation of the Varna Opera.

The first ballet master was Asen Manolov. Other ballet masters who have worked with the ballet dancers from 1960 to 1985, have considerably contributed to the development of the Varna Ballet and alongside their regular involvement in opera, operetta and musical spectaculars for children. Ekaterina Cheshmedzheva was the artistic manager of the ballet company for the period 1999-2014.

Since 2014 Svetlana Tonsheva is the artistic manager of the ballet company. The best known independent ballet productions  are “ Raymonda by A. Glazunov, Romeo and Juliet by S. Prokofiev, The Nutcracker by P. I. Tchaikovsky, Spartacus and Cipollino by A Khachaturian,  Giselle and Le Corsaire by A. Adam, La fille mal gardee by P. Hertel,  Coppelia by L.
