Outstanding Achievements at the Cecchetti Awards

We are delighted to celebrate the exceptional accomplishments of our dancers at this year’s Cecchetti Awards, where dedication, artistry, and excellence in classical ballet were recognised on a national stage.

Becca Brusven was awarded Most Promising Young Dancer, a distinction that highlights her outstanding potential, expressive artistry, and commitment to her training. Her performance captivated the adjudicators and audience alike.

Meghan Klynveld received the highly respected Cyril Beaumont Scholarship, which honours a dancer who best embodies the Cecchetti principles of grace, strength, and musicality. Meghan’s precision and poise were truly remarkable.

Scarlett Bolton was the recipient of the Fewster Scholarship, recognising her talent, discipline, and artistry in classical ballet. Her elegant presence and refined technique made her performance exceptional.

We also extend our congratulations to Zedekiah Davie, who was Runner-Up for the Fewster Award. His performance demonstrated impressive strength, control, and developing artistry, earning well-deserved recognition from the adjudicators.

In addition, Andrew Spiteri received the Musicality Award, a testament to his nuanced interpretation and deep connection to the music—qualities that are at the heart of expressive dance.

These achievements reflect not only the talent and commitment of our dancers but also the skill and dedication of their coaches.
A sincere thank you and congratulations to Amanda Gilliland, Gillian Hurst, and Kate Simmons, whose expert teaching, mentorship, and preparation guided each dancer to success.

We are incredibly proud of Becca, Meghan, Scarlett, Zedekiah, and Andrew for representing our school with artistry, professionalism, and passion. A heartfelt well done to all the dancers from KS Dance who took part in the Cecchetti Awards—your hard work, dedication, and love for dance continue to inspire us all.
