Don Quixote and The Kingdom of Narnia

Vocational Students of KS Dance are in their final preparations for performances of Don Quixote and the annual KS Dance Showcase. Whilst Kate Simmons Dance Junior Productions prepare their performances of The Kingdom of Narnia. The KS Dance Don Quixote, is an adaptation of the original story and a synopsis of the Ballet can be found below along with a brief story outline of our adaptation of the C.S. Lewis Class, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

KS Dance Don Quixote:

In their latest adventure, Don Quixote and his servant Sancho Panza are attending the annual Barcelona Dance Festival, where  Don Quixote is Guest of Honour. A disagreement between Kitri and her mother, who is organising the event, over who should be Kitri’s dancing partner, threatens to ruin the proceedings, and Don Quixote is required to demonstrate all his diplomatic and terpsichorean skills in order to save the day.

The Kingdom of Narnia:

Evacuated to a large country house during the Blitz, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy decide one day to play a game of Hide and Seek. While hiding from the others, Lucy discovers an old wardrobe into the magical Kingdom of Narnia. She persuades the others to follow her, but they find all is not well in Narnia with the Kingdom suffering under the evil spell of the White Witch. The children form an alliance with Aslan the Lion, and together they set out to overthrow the White Witch and to restore peace and tranquillity to the Kingdom.

Performances begin at 7:30pm on 23rd, 24th and 25th March at The Brindley Theatre in Runcorn, Cheshire. We would encourage any young and budding Dancers to come along and see the professional standard of Ballet and other Dance Genre as well as Musical Theatre.
