Dance Days Ahead
KS Dance has a number of Major Dance Days upcoming on the nearer side of Christmas:
Barbara Geoghegan and Fewster Scholarship Awards, Sadler’s Wells Theatre, London. Sunday 19th November 2017
CDET Day at LIPA, Sunday 19th November 2017.
KS Dance Winter Choreographic Competition, Friday 8th December.
A number of Students will be representing KS Dance with Classical Variations and Solos at the Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London. These Scholarship awards are received in the form of contributions towards tuition fees.
CDET Day at LIPA is an opportunity for young and aspiring Dancers to talk to and observe a variety of accredited performing arts colleges prior to auditions and September 2018 entry to vocational training. Emily Carline and Chris Gow will be performing a Classical Ballet Pas de Deux as part of the exciting showcase.
Annually, KS Dance hosts a choreographic competition in the second to last week of the Winter term. This year the competition is open to the public and will be adjudicated by David Needham. Last year’s winner was Emily Carline. This year’s winning piece will be performed as part of the Allegrodance Touring Company Performances in the Spring.
