Ballet Audition for KS Dance Vocational Training, 21st June 2018.

Our next Ballet audition for the Upper School will be held at KS Dance on 21st June. This audition is open to anyone over the age of 14 who would be looking to begin vocational training in September 2018 or September 2019.KS Dance maintains that an audition process for pre-vocational students should be in a an environment where prospective students feel they can thrive. Therefore, the day involves a Ballet audition Class and a small Jazz based assessment. This is followed by an individualised parent/guardian and student meeting with the Director Kate Simmons, whereby study options and forms of training can be discussed at great length.

As an integral part of the audition process there is also the opportunity to talk to our in-house Sport and Exercise Science team who will provide advice and support throughout entry to KS Dance. This is great time to discuss previous injuries, ongoing strength and mobility issues or simply obtain information on how the student may be able to gain a physical edge prior to joining the Upper School in September.

Despite our auditions running late into the year, there are still the opportunities to audition for Artistic funding and bursaries to aid the contribution to school fees. This would include a further Ballet Audition after this date. There are many benefits included in attending KS Dance in September for example: Access to teaching qualifications, a wide variety of Dance genre to study, ongoing Dance health screening for injury prevention as well as Strength and Conditioning services which allow students to develop their physiological capabilities and in turn enhance their Dancing.

Overall, we welcome all auditioning students and their parents or guardians to ask as many questions via calling our offices on 01925 837693 or email: admin@ksd-online.co.uk.

Look forward to seeing you all there.
