We have embraced teaching online classes in the last 4 weeks and our students are LOVING their classes with us still.
It may not be the perfect scenario and none of us ever thought for one minute that we would find ourselves here. But, let’s just remind ourselves, that whilst we are all bouncing around our converted dance studios, such as living rooms, kitchens, conservatories, gardens and garages, making the most of what we can right now with what we have right now, the reason is, so that we can help stop the spread of this awful virus and help our Frontline and Key workers in all industries.
Our dance industry has ground to an abrupt halt, along with many others but, dancers must continue to remain dedicated to their art, technical development and train harder than ever to continue with their progression towards reaching their potential.
Our Well-being team are in continuous contact with those students whom need it the most and supporting them thorough this really tough time plus our Strength and Conditioning team continue to provide and monitor personalised training programmes, injury prevention training and rehabilitation.
KS dance is providing its vocational and junior programme dancers with over 47 online dance classes per week. Our teachers have embraced the new methods of teaching and continue to deliver high calibre lessons in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern,Tap, Spanish Dance and Commercial Hip Hop.
Our Teacher Training Qualifications also continue to be delivered to all students that are working towards their DDE in the different dance genres, Lecture studies towards the ‘Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance’ validated by Trinity College London are throughout this time being continued.
When the right time comes again for us to all grace the dance studios and stages in theatres, it will most likely be quite an emotional time for all, staff students and their families once our community is reunited in the studios. There is a certain type of joy that only Dance, Music, Sport and the Creative Arts can bring to someones heart.
The thing that KS Dance do best is get dancers into employment, we are doing everything possible to ensure that once it is safe to do so, that that is exactly from where we shall continue.
We are so very proud of our students from the youngest classes right up to the final year of vocational training in how they are enthusiastically and with great commitment par-taking “FULL OUT WITH FACE” in our dance classes.
