KS Dance is proud to be part of the DaDa Scheme and validated by Council for Dance, Drama and Musical (CDMT) and is also considered one of the top 10 Vocational Colleges in the UK.

What is the DaDa Scheme?

The Dance and Drama Awards (DaDAs) offer means-tested scholarships to exceptionally talented performing arts students studying at some of the country’s leading providers of professional vocational training in dance, drama and musical theatre. Funded by the government through the Education Funding Agency (EFA), DaDas

Dancers Graduate from KS Dance with their Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance, validated by Trinity College London. Those students that wish to study towards a Teaching Qualification in Ballet, Tap or Modern also achieve their Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) in Teaching awarded by the ISTD.

Do not hesitate to contact us further for more information.

Audition participants are auditioning for either our Dancers’ Course, where students specialise in Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz, or our Teachers Course.

KS Dance accepts entry from prospective students of any age over 16 year’s old onto our courses.

The audition at KS Dance is a fantastic unique experience whereby Dancers are assessed in Ballet and Jazz. This is followed by an interview with our Principal and Director Kate Simmons and the Parents and prospective students. There is also the opportunity for Dancers to have a physical assessment via our external Sports Science Professional team where necessary regarding any previous injuries incurred prior to the audition.

The norm is that Dancers will be able to spend the day amongst the current KS Dance students and catch glimpses of current rehearsals and classes that are ongoing. Due to lockdowns and Covid-19 rules and regulations, please understand that it may not be possible for auditionees to attend in house classes alongside our current students at these times.

The same applies to the below;
As well as the experience on the day, we also offer the facility for in coming students to attend classes with our Senior Associate Classes.

KS Dance is dedicated to making the audition process as transparent as possible. This will give a real life insight into the daily on goings of the school.

Our audition is managed by our audition panel and admissions secretary and will place the emphasis on Ballet and Jazz Techniques.
