We had a successful 14 Weeks of Fantastic Dance Classes.
When we first opened our doors again in September to our students, we all knew it would be with a slightly different feel to the college. We all re-learnt the ropes quickly and the new procedures that everyone needed to adhere and adapt to in order to keep everyone safe and well whilst carrying out the highest quality of training.
The safety of our students, staff and musicians is always the forefront of our minds the whole time.
With all the additional safety measures we took and enforcing the social distancing rule at all times, it meant that we could organise for our students to still complete their Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance Studio Assessments in each of the 3 genre, Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary.
Students were thrilled in November to still be able to take part in the Cyril Beaumont Scholarship 2020 and that we were still able to host our annual Choreographic Competition in December safely too. (Please read our additional blog posts coming soon on the website about how great these events really were.)
We didn’t forget about how important our students families and their connection to the college is either. In December through our first ever LIVE STEAM event our dancers performed, to their parents, grandparents, the cats and the dogs and our invited special guests from all over the world.
It really was so heart warming to watch our students thrive and perform their socks off to their virtual audience with some of the biggest smiles that we have ever seen.
Our dancers continue to make us feel proud at KS Dance. The unity that the students bring to the college and to one another, is exactly what is needed in these unprecedented times.
We cannot wait to have everyone back in the studios as soon as it is safe to do so and even more so, we cannot wait to share more of our performances with everyone, whether that be virtually or in a venue again.
Keep safe and well and keep checking back on the website for our updated audition news, events and more.
